God’s Word Is Sufficient
Even when it comes to personal productivity.
I believe that God’s Word contains what we need to live lives that please to Him.
And that applies to how we approach work and productivity as well.
The late R.C. Sproul once said, “our calling as Christians is the highest calling there is, and the idea of being productive is not the invention of capitalism; it is the mandate of Christ.”
But often we do think of productivity the same way the world does. We picture secular gurus promising us beach bodies, wealth, and success if we follow their program.
And while their tactics may gain us temporal results, the philosophy behind how they approach productivity will never bear eternal fruit.
For Christians who want to glorify God through our work and productivity, our approach should be much different than the world.
